TDP accuses Chiranjeevi for defections

HYDERABAD : For the first time TDP leadership came out openly accusing film star Chiranjeevi alleging he was encourasing defections.

Referring to Chiranjeevi family members claim that he was entering politics with an aim to cleanse the political system, Rajya Sabha member M V Mysoora Reddy asked on Monday does it mean encouraging defections from other parties.

Reddy said that he wanted to know what ideals are they trying to preach by encourasing defections. However, he said that those who had quit the party in the recent times to join hands with Chiranjeevi were doing so for their selfish needsd. There would be no loss for TDP, if such leaders quit the party, he added.
