TDP is a Sinking Ship: Prajarajyam Spokespersons

In a direct attack on the Telugu Desam Party for the first time, the Praja Rajyam Party Friday described the recent Yuva Garajana as a desperate attempt to come back to power.

Speaking to media persones here Friday, party spokespersons Dr Mithra and Parakala Prabhakar said TDP was a sinking boat and lost its sheen. They wondered how the party could win with thousand promises while it lost the 2004 Assembly elections in which it showered one `crore boons’ to the people.

They made light of 1000 boons announced in the Yuva Garjana and said the boons cannot change the fate of the party. The Congress gained lost ground in the State in 2004 elections only because of the TDP misrule.

All those who attended the Yuva Garjna meet were brought with sheer money power, they alleged.

Objecting to the comments that the PRP did not have the capability to stay in politics, the spokespersons said that their party had already proved its strength.

Ridiculing the statement that Yuva Garjana was the largest gathering in the history of the State, the duo said that it had to be corroborated by political observers and analysts but not by TDP.

The PRP leaders said the second leg of tour by Chiranjeevi in Telangana districts proved that the party enjoyed massive support from the public.

The third leg of Praja Ankita Yatra will be in Rayalaseema and would start any day between November 12 and 15. The third leg would cover two districts in Rayalaseema in six days, they added.
