It has been a while since the movie ‘Sneha Geetham’ has been making rounds in the tinsel town and now they have come up with their audio release recently. The album marks the debut of Sunil Kashyap as the music director while Madhura Sreedhar is making his entry as the director. It’s a debut for lyricist SiraSri as well. Then there are the young Venky, Chaitanya, Sandeep making their entries as heroes while Shreya, Rhea are the debutante heroines. The film also has Suhani and Krishnudu doing special roles and manning the entire project is producer Lagadapati Sridhar.
The album has got a total of 7 songs. The first one happens to be ‘Oka Snehame…’ which is a fun filled number. There is a lot of energy in this one and despite the soft rock paced beats set by Sunil that are worth humming. It is the lyrics by Sirasri that have given enough adrenaline to pump the young hearts to ecstasy with nostalgic feel. There is friendship, the naughtiness of the young blood mixed with ambition. Vocals by Karthik were exceptional and this will be a hot number on the stands.
Then there is ‘Entho Enthentho…’ which is a duet sung by Ranjit and Reeta. Perhaps this is the first time that a farewell time has been perceived as a rather new opportunity to look at life. There is a lot of positivity in this one and yet again, Sirasri has come up with some synthetic English lyrics along with bringing about a new perspective at the time of farewell. Sunil Kashyap has come up with fast beats mixed with western tunes and this is a peppy number that is worth taking home.
From the campus beats to the countryside, the next number ‘Gala Gala…’ that has got some proper folklore beats by Sunil has also got him contributing his voice and he has paired up with Prasanna in this one. The lyrics have been penned by Chinni Charan and the words have been deftly used to create a feel of the essence of our rural areas. A breath of the village side and the rich fields of our Telugu lands are felt in this one.
No music is complete without romance and here is a mix of love with tradition in the form of ‘Sarigama Padani…’ that has been sung by Sunil Kashyap again along with Pranathi. This time, Sunil has gone easy on his pace and has come up with a romantic melody that touches the hearts of all the romantic people. To add punch, there is the literature from Chinni Charan who has penned the lyrics with deep thoughts.
Getting more serious the next song ‘Vasanthamedhi…’ that has been penned by Chinni Charan has got words that inspire confidence and also prepare anyone to face life and its challenges with optimism. Karthik has sung this song beautifully and Sunil has given a remarkable tune to this. Though the theme of the song is on the serious note, the freshness in the music and the lyrics cause good motivation.
Where there is love, there is the momentary separation and the pain caused by it. So here is Sirasri who has come up with heart touching words and his lyrics have synced well with Sai Sivani for the song ‘Velige Vennele…’. There is the feeling of love, philosophy and a taste of literature in the songs and the vocals have dominated the song since the music plays a mild role in this one. Credit must be given to the lyrics for some deep and intense lines filled with romanticism of lovelorn girl.
One has to save the best for last and something like this can be seen in ‘Veyo Veyo…’ which has Benny Dayal and Chorus coming out with thumping vocals. This is a complete youth song that is filled with joy and happiness. At the same time, there is the energy mixed with a tinge of ‘spirit’. The words have been woven wisely by Sirasri and though it is a fun filled number, there is a message and courage in the lyrics. Sunil has come up with techno beats in this one and that will create a lasting impact in the music lovers for quite sometime.
The album of ‘Sneha Geetham’ is worth every penny and it has covered all genres of music. Especially, the quality of lyrics is remarkable and has the depth that is missing these days. Don’t miss this one folks!!!
